The simulation is performed by using simulation/visualization code named NAMI DANCE which solves Nonlinear Shallow Water Equations  in either cartesian or  spherical coordinates. The numerical solution procedure is the same as TUNAMI N2 which had been developed by Shuto, Imamura, Goto. NAMI DANCE is developed by Pelinovsky, Zaytsev, Kurkin and Yalciner.

Imamura, Titov, Arcas, Latief, Yammaoto are acknowledged for their very quick response of this event. We also thank Rabinovich for his comment

on landslide possibility which needs additional info especially about wave period. Ugur Kuran and Prof. Tuncay Taymaz has guided the estimation of the source.

Best wishes and kind regards.  July 18, 2008
